The Five Attributes
Through training in the Ving Tsun System of martial arts, a student begins to develop all of the five attributes in a unification of physical, mental, and emotional growth, which is the goal of the Ving Tsun System. These attributes are developed and polished until they become a part of the student, in which no one attribute is more vital than the other.
All Ving Tsun techniques are based on these attributes which take into account the limitation and capability of human movement. The system also takes into account the relative position between the practitioner and the opponent, and uses the most economic movement to achieve the desired result under a specific situation. Using the theory and attributes attained through training to obtain a desired outcome makes Ving Tsun a result-oriented style of martial arts, known for its economy of movement and efficiency.
